The White House and Members of the U.S. congress worry as automakers and other manufacturers have reduced their production due to the global semiconductor chip shortage caused and worsened by the ongoing pandemic.
In response to this, U.S. President Joe Biden signs an executive order addressing the global computer chip shortage.
The President has also met with a group of bipartisan lawmakers to discuss this issue.
The Executive Order includes a 100-day review of key supply chain products including, semiconductor chips, large-capacity batteries for electrical vehicles, rare earth minerals, and pharmaceuticals.
