The Supreme Court has allowed a New York Prosecutor to have a copy of Former President Donald Trump's personal and tax returns.
This is a great loss for Trump's lawyers as they have been fighting to protect the Former President's financial papers from prosecutors and members of Congress.
Meanwhile, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance is celebrating the victory as this has been a long-time request of his.
These tax records, however, are still not for public view as it is protected under the Grand Jury Secrecy Rules.
The documents were held at the center of the investigation of Trump's alleged "hush money payment" and other financial issues.
The Subpoena covers Trump's tax returns all the way from January 2011 up to August 2019.
Former President Trump spoke out against the Supreme Court and called Vance's investigation against him "the greatest political witch hunt".
Trump's organization can still request an appeal, however, it would only be in vain as his accounting firm, Mazars Group, handles all his tax returns.
